Also, as a result of putting great efforts into having our quality system comply with the changed version of ISO 9001, KMTC succeeded in completing the transition to the year 2000 version of the standard. With the 2000 version of ISO 9001, KMTC's quality objectives, continual improvements, and monitoring of customer satisfaction will provide our customers with increased assurances that their needs and expectations will be met.
The safety management system of KMTC has been found to be in compliance with the requirements of the International Management Code for the Safe Operation of ships and for Pollution Prevention (ISM CODE) which was adapted by the International Maritime Organization. Concerning ISM, KMTC obtained "Document of Compliance" for ISM CODE under the authority of the Government of Korea by Korean Registery of Shipping in 1998 and renewed it in April of 2003 without any non-conformity.
